英文摘要 | Hunger is an important signifier in the history of modern literature. In the context of modernity of the post –Cultural Revolution, human desires and physicality triggered by rationand economic development brought by Humanism Discourse have received recognition. After the political ideology being suspended in the Seventeen Years’Literature, hunger came back to life and became a significant theme of writing in the New Period. Keeping hunger writing as a significant clue, many writers expressed their thoughts about modernization in China through their works, thus female became a tool to reconstruct subjectivity of modernity. Male fed by female came close to people-centered view, and female became the object for male to extablish subjectivity. Hunger is the driving force for male to establish rational subject. For example, in Yuan Hua Shu (1984) by Zhang Xianliang and Huo Dong Bian Ren Xing (1986) by Wang Meng, intellectuals often advocated subjective spirit in the fight with hunger. Female hunger provided the the Great Mother of the narrative dynamics to be essentialized. For example, in Gou Ri De Liang Shi (1986) by Liu Heng and Feng Ru Fei Tun (1995) by Mo Yan, female forced themselves to make a living for their son and their husband even by suppressing their own feelings of hunger. Under the circumstance of subject of modernity, hunger has become important resouce of discourse and has been given the modernity and gender politics, and even shows the development of genealogy of hunger in the New Period. |
