英文摘要 | Teaching aids are frequently used for teaching demonstrations. However, teaching aids also have limitations, such as concepts that are difficult to quantify, complex operations, and so on. Furthermore, these physics concepts based on demonstrations are difficult to associate with real life phenomena. Therefore, “physics is life” is the key purpose for which life videos are employed in physics education. This study introduces an open source software called “Tracker”, developed by retired lecturer Douglas Brown from Cabrillo College, together with instructions and applications. Real life videos captured using digital cameras or webcams can be quantified by this software, and furthermore the digitized data can be explained or simulated with corresponding physics equations. Students can download the software and practice after school, increasing their interest in learning. Teachers may also apply the software in experiments, or design assignments to improve student learning efficiency. |
