中文摘要 | 社會工作教育面臨社會變局的挑戰,傳統教學方式勢必調整。我們於2005年起實施「社區實作課群」,即打破分科教學的模式,強調「以學生為本位」的實作導向、聯合教學設計之實驗方案。小班制學生以兩年為期,由四位老師共同指導,從發展並執行社區服務方案的實作經驗中,同時學習幾門適合「做中學」的關聯課程,並培養個人、團隊及專業等層面的多項能力。課程講求「經驗學習」、「合作學習」與「自主學習」,師生透過密切的互動、合作、反思,以精進「教」、「學」及社區參與等各項工作。經初步評估,課群學生的專業自信有多方面超越同儕的成長,並對團隊合作及社區服務的價值更加肯定,雖然亦不免因過程中的不確定感,而累積挫折與焦慮。而課群師生以互補的精神,體現自由的學術空間,應是最具特色的成就。 |
英文摘要 | Changing social conditions and educational environment in this society demand changes in the way social work students are to be educated. Since 2005, we have been experimenting on a student-centered approach for community service-based learning with joint teaching efforts disregarding course boundaries. With an emphasis on learning-by-doing, students in small groups gain knowledge on developing and implementing community service projects under the supervision of four faculty members, while enhancing professional competencies on personal and group levels. It requires intensive interactions and reflections among faculty and students on all tasks of teaching, learning and participating in the community, following the philosophies of experiential learning as well as autonomous and cooperative learning. As a result, preliminary evaluation shows that the students score higher than peers on various aspects of professional confidence. They also become more affirmative toward cooperative work and community service, despite frustrations and anxieties that arise from feelings of uncertainty in the process. The most valuable outcome is the free academic atmosphere and environment facilitated mutually by the faculty and students. |
