中文摘要 | 本文主要目的在討論利用PDA之並列埠發展行動式生理訊號的擷取系統之方法。訊號的擷取以心電圖(electrocardiogram, ECG)的生理訊號做樣本,以目前最通用也最公開的是CF(CompactFlash(上标 TM))的格式做傳輸介面,討論PDA之並列埠在生理訊號擷取應用上的可行性。本系統對取樣頻率的傳輸測試,在無顯示模式狀況下,可達到30K次/秒~35K次/秒的取樣率,其資料傳輸量可達到30Kbyte∼35Kbyte,表現並列埠的傳輸速率的應用在單通道的擷取生理訊號上,可容許較高的取樣率;優於串列埠的11Kbyte。在CF介面上其I/O共有2048位址,若以擷取ECG訊號、取樣率為500次/秒為樣本,可達到60∼70個通道的同步擷取,可應用在多通道的生理訊號擷取系統。另外可將所取得的生理訊號訊號儲存至PDA,再回存到個人電腦上再加以應用,也可以即時的方式直接將所取得的生理訊號顯示在PDA的螢幕上。本文提供了一個低成本,且高效能的PDA開發在醫學應用方式,利用PDA的特性結合本系統可讓日後醫療器材多了另一方面的應用及發展。 |
英文摘要 | Homecare and telemedicine are becoming important to the people in recent years for the reason of aging population. And, more importantly, some diseases need a long-term trace of vital signal recording. In recent years, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) is progressively used and accepted for its convenience and portability. For the application of PDA, most of vital sign gathering equipment presently uses the serial port of PDA for interfacing data. However, using serial port as interface of transmission, it may need extra cost and severely limited by it specification at 115Kbps of transmission rate. The bandwidth is insufficient for serious medical application when gathering data at higher speed is needed. To answer this deficiency, using parallel port to acquire vital sign may be one of solution. Comparing the design, specification and definition of parallel port with serial port, it has higher bandwidth for high-speed data translation. In addition, parallel port does not need extra processor for translating data and can directly send gathered data to PDA as executing synchronism. Therefore, for speed and cost, there are a lot of advantages to parallel port. The purpose of this paper is, therefore, discussing the way of using PDA and it's parallel port to develop the acquisition system for vital signal. The testing and demonstration of signal acquisition is ECG signal from a template and human body. And, for a PDA, the most general and popular interface for transmission is CompactFlash(superscript TM) (CF) card. The result of the discussing system can have 35KB-40KB sampling rate without displaying. And it has storage system for the ECG signal. The stored data at PDA, then, can be transfer to PC for additional application. Besides, the described system can directly acquire vital signal and display on monitor of PDA in real-time. The result of this study provides a methodology for low-cost and high efficient application of PDA in applied medical science. Using characteristic of PDA, the future medical equipment can have an alternative development. |
