英文摘要 | There are two types of thermo-acoustic Stirling heat engines. Comparing with the traveling wave thermo-acoustic Stirling engine, the standing wave thermo-acoustic Stirling engine is relatively simpler. A study for the structures and working principles of standing wave thermo-acoustic Stirling engines is presented. We build three standing wave thermo-acoustic Stirling engines. Probing the frequency of the acoustic emitted from these engines, we conclude that the fundamental normal mode of the gas in the engines is mainly excited. When the stack is located at a suitable position, the changes of the volume and pressure of a portion of gas in the engine then is similar to that of working fluid in mechanical heat engines. Therefore, the vibrations of the normal modes are excited significantly. |
