英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of three steps perceptual motor-balance teaching for 2 students with balance problems in a special education class. The A-B-A' withdrawal design of the single-subject experimental approach was applied. The equipment of "Biodex Balance System SD" and the scale of "Movement ABC-2" were used to evaluate the students' progress in balance. The major results were found as follows: (1) the performance in Biodex Balance System SD. It's found that the balance test of level 6 was more adaptable for students with intellectual disabilities (ID) than level 8 in the postural stability test. The results in the tests of "Postural Stability" (PS) and the "Limits of Stability (LOS)" for students with ID indicated significantly effective in acquisition phase after three steps perceptual motor- balance teaching. The numbers of the PS in the maintenance phase also showed effective but not necessarily effective for the result of LOS. It's also found that the direction control of LOS improved in the phases of acquisition and maintenance; (2) the performance in Movement ABC-2. After three steps perceptual motor- balance teaching, two students with balance problems made progress in 2 sub-tests i.e. Balance Test and Aiming & Catching Test in the scale of Movement ABC-2. Based on the results, suggestions were presented. |
