英文摘要 | In planar flow casting process, the uniformity of ribbons thickness depends on the stability of the nozzle exit velocity and copper wheel quality and rotating speed. The stability of the nozzle exit velocity relies on liquid height or external pressure in crucible. The simulation results showed that if the liquid height in crucible is less than 14 cm, the exit velocity is uneven and leads to the non-uniformity or hole in ribbons. From the results of the capillary number analysis, when the capillary number is less than 0.015 and the nozzle aspect ratio (L4/B) is greater than 30, the fluid in crucible can not successfully flow out through the nozzle. |
