中文摘要 | 企業的核心知識有利於其新產品開發的績效,其中人力資本與組織(營運)活動為時尚產業最重要之核心知識。以往研究並未針對時尚產業提出衡量企業新產品開發績效且未針對人力資本與組織活動整合程度進行進一步探討。本研究進行個案研究,收集並分析時尚產業中知名四大品牌大廠Hermes、Louis Vuitton(LV)、Prada及Gucci之發展沿革與經營模式,探討人力資本與組織活動整合程度如何影響新產品開發績效。研究結果首先整理文獻及觀察個案提出時尚產業新產品開發績效的衡量指標包括顧客接受度、財務績效、新產品對品牌的貢獻度、新產品帶給顧客利益以及新產品得獎紀錄。其次以人力資本高/低與組織營運活動整合度高/低說明四大品牌之不同新產品開發績效,其中LV的高人力資本與高組織整合型態在近期變遷快速的時尚產業,新產品開發績效上優於其他型態。除留任優秀人才外,常見基於追求低成本將製造生產外包,在時尚業並非萬靈丹。延攬、留任優秀人才(高人力資本)以及整合營運活動是企業最重要的管理活動。 |
英文摘要 | A firm's core knowledge benefits new product development (NPD). Among the knowledge, human capital and integration of operational activities are the most core knowledge. Previous studies lack of measurement of new product development for firms in fashion industry. Furthermore, how the integration of operational activities influences NPD performance remain unresolved for fashion firms. This study collects data of four brand firms: Hermes, Louis Vuitton (LV), Prada, and Gucci to analyze their human capital, integration of operational activities, and NPD performance. The results argue acceptance of customers, profit, contribution to brand, benefits of customers, and winning prize records in famous competitions are critical measurements. Furthermore, human capital and integration of operational activities categorize the four brand firms into four types. Among the four types, highly integrated operational activities and high human capital (i.e., LV) outperform other three types. This means that outsourcing talents and manufacturing activities, which aim to reduce cost, is not a panacea in fashion industry. Having talents and integrating operational activities are the most important activities for managers. |
