英文摘要 | In this study, we have addressed the key issue of how Chinese multinational corporations (MNCs) operating and dominating Chinese human resource management (HRM) practices in the same cultural setting of Bangladesh. The core finding of this study revealed that in order to encourage and retain talented employees, Chinese MNCs applied home country HRM practices especially “Confucius values,” “Guanxi” through ethnocentric approach to operate business in Bangladesh. In addition, significant differences in HRM practices across studied firms between two countries have been discovered. One of the extensive findings in this case study shows that Chinese MNCs applied conservative HRM practices for Bangladeshis subsidiaries. Finally, this study will assist to understand how Chinese HRM practices can be useful in the Bangladeshi business environment and how Chinese MNCs can help Bangladeshi corporate culture to further develop competitive advantages through effective HRM practices. |
