中文摘要 | 本文評述台灣在「電腦輔助語言學習」領域最近之發展;資料取自學術組織、期刊論文、會議論文或口頭發表,並參照北美及亞洲東部情況。比較收錄論文之主題,結果顯示國內與國際學界重點有一些差異。「電腦輔助語言學習」源自美國八十年代,目前或五到十年內,實證研究、理論架構、乃至教學法方面,相形之下,我們是落後的。本文並綜論最近七份國際文獻評述之資料,他們指出幾項值得學界參考之未來方向。最後,本文提出四個較符合本土學習需求的研究議題:語料研發、教學績效之實證研究、以電腦為中介之溝通研究、以及「電腦輔助語言學習」領域之理論。 |
英文摘要 | Supported by data from Taiwan, East Asia, and the international community, the present review discusses recent developments in the field of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL). Sources of the data include professional organizations, professional journals, conference proceedings, and conference oral presentations. Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) was established in the United States of America during the 1980s. At the present time, researchers in the USA and Europe, compared with their counterparts in Taiwan, have made more advances in terms of empirical research, theoretical frameworks or pedagogy. It is expected that this trend will continue for five to ten more years. Although seven review-type international documents that are discussed in this paper point out useful research directions for CALL scholars, some of them do not meet the needs of EFL students or the educational context in Taiwan. It is argued in this paper that corpus-based CALL research, CALL effectiveness, computer-mediated communication research, and CALL theories are more urgently needed in Taiwan. |
