英文摘要 | The energy dissipation installation always refers to the stilling basin in hydrotechnical constructions such as check dam or drop structure. The main requirements for the stilling basin are its compactness and economical design as well as the high function of energy dissipation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of a hydraulic jump in a gradually expanding channel. In this study, a rectangular section with a gradually expanding channel is investigated the characteristic and energy dissipation of hydraulic jump under the free overfall flow at a weir. It was observed the results that the conjugate depth ratio (φ), relative energy loss (△E/Ei) and energy dissipation efficiency (η) were not only influenced by the Froude number (Fi) and dimensionless height of weir (H), but also by the channel width ratio (μ). The approximate formula η=η(μ, H) has been developed for calculations as well as prediction of the energy dissipation efficiency downstream of a weir. |
