中文摘要 | 本研究利用影像分析技術 (IPT) 計算粒料扁平率、級配降級程度以及粒料排列一致性比率,並與實 際量測和現地鑽心試體相比較,藉以評估二種不同試驗室壓實方式的壓實效果。研究中採用二種不同配 合設計方法:馬歇爾配合設計法 (AI MS-2, 1993) 及Superpave Level1 配合設計系統 (ASSHTO SP-2, 2002),使用AC-20 瀝青,並收集台灣四個地區的粒料進行配合設計。配合設計結果顯示,馬歇爾配合設 計法高估VMA 而導致使用較高的設計瀝青含量。從影像分析與實際量測的粗粒料扁平率並無顯著不同可 知,影像分析具有取代傳統骨材幾何性質試驗的潛力。無論使用影像分析或者實際將試驗室壓實試體經 洗油篩分析後與原來工地拌合級配比較,亦能發現使用馬歇爾夯壓機造成級配降級的程度遠比SGC 旋轉 壓實機者嚴重。從粒料排列一致性比率的影像分析結果顯示,馬歇爾夯壓試體的粒料排列較具方向性, 而SGC 試體和鑽心試體的粒料排列則較為隨機。整體而言,SGC 的旋轉壓實方式明顯較能模擬現場鋪設 滾壓的情況。 |
英文摘要 | The objective of this study is to compare compaction effects of different mix design methods by the application of image process technique (IPT). IPT was applied to analyze aggregate flatness, degradation and orientations in asphalt concrete mixtures. In this study, Marshall mix design (AI MS-2, 1993) and Superpave mix design (AASHTO SP-2, 2002) were applied. Four types of aggregates and AC-20 asphalt were adopted. It was found that the Marshall mix design will overestimate VMA in asphalt concrete mixture, which will then cause excessive optimal asphalt content. To compare the traditional aggregate shape test with image shape indices as flatness, the IPT is considered as a more viable and cost effective alternative. From IPT and actual recycled aggregate sieve analysis results, specimens compacted using the Marshall compactor were found to have more aggregate degradation than specimens compacted using the SGC. The aggregate orientation results indicate that aggregates have preferred directional consistency in Marshall specimens while they appear to have more of a random distribution in SGC and cored specimens. Through various actual measurement and cored specimens, aggregate orientation has significant difference. In general, the specimen made by the SGC can be better to simulate the compaction in the field. |
