英文摘要 | Since the end of the Franco dictatorship, the Second Wave has initiated issues of equal rights for men and women, and there was a boom in creative writing among female authors in Spain. Rosa Montero (1951~) belongs to the generation of female writers that came to prominence in the late 1970s and is also considered a beloved writer by critics and readers. Her work contains a taste of good literature which borrows from the voices of characters of present day to study Spain's social and cultural transformations. La hija del canibal, the seventh novel by Rosa Montero, is a realist novel that maintains a thematic feminism like Montero's previous narratives do and incorporates diverse elements of popular culture. Narrated in the first and the third person, the entire story originates from a husband s mysterious disappearance and kidnapping. Through the use of detective genre women's autobiography. Montero attempts to show us how the female protagonist, who is also the narrator of the story, searches for self-realization. The present essay aims to analyze how detective genre and women's autobiographical narrative can be used as a pretext for women's self- realization, and how the writer intends to redefine gender boundaries in order to represent women's identities and reconstruct a female discourse. |
