中文摘要 | 目的:探討長期暴露低劑量輻射與乳房超音波異常結果的關聯性。 方法:針對2005年10月至2009年2月200例乳房超音波進行分析。受檢者來源為自費體檢、輻射屋體檢、家醫科門診。乳房超音波結果區分為:陰性 (BIRADS category 1, 2) 及陽性 (BIRADS category 0, 3, 4, 5)。統計檢定探討長期低劑量輻射是否與乳房病理性的變化有相關性。再者依據年紀將受檢者區分為兩組,探討女性荷爾蒙與乳房良性病理性的變化的相關性。 結果:3個不同族群間乳房超音波結果有顯著統計差異 (x^2=6.02, p<0.05)。停經前婦女與停經後婦女乳房超音波結果無顯著統計差異 (x^2=0.39, p>0.05)。 結論:研究顯示長期低劑量輻射可能不會加重乳房疾患,但仍須長期追蹤。停經後與停經前婦女之乳房超音波結果並無統計顯著之差異。 |
英文摘要 | Objectives : The aim of this study was to compare whether there are differences in breast ultrasound findings among various groups of females from different clinical sources. These were women of various ages who were either attending a family medicine outpatient department, undergoing a self-paid health examination or attending a chronic γ-irradiation health examination. Methods : This cross-sectional study enrolled 200 subjects who had received a breast ultrasound examination at a health examination center in Taipei City from October 2005 to February 2009. The age range was from 22 year-old to 78 year-old. Subjects were classified according to where they were attending at the center; these were a self-paid health examination (H group), a family medicine outpatient department (O group) and a chronic γ-irradiation health examination (R group). The results from breast ultrasound examinations were classified either as negative (BIRADS category 1/2) or positive (BIRADS category 0/3/4/5). We used the chi-square test to analyze whether chronic low dose irradiation was correlated with breast ultrasound abnormalities. We fur ther analyzed the results according to age group (before and after menopause) in order to discover whether female hormone levels had an effect on the breast ultrasound findings. Results : The breast ultrasound findings showed a significant difference between the three groups (H/O/R) (x^2=6.02; p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between the pre-menopausal and post-menopausal groups (x^2=0.39; p>0.05). Conclusion : Our study indicates that females who undergo chronic low dose γ-irradiation do not show an increase in abnormal breast ultrasound findings. However, a longer follow up time is needed to explore any long-term effects. Furthermore, women younger than 50 years old do not seem to have a higher frequency of breast ultrasound abnormality than older women. |
