中文摘要 | 遠距教學媒體的發展,已進入利用電腦網路進行互動教學的第三個世代,不管是傳統大學或是遠距開放大學都已紛紛大舉推動以網路為平臺的教學。網路教學最令人學校師生興奮的,除了網上即可閱讀的線上教材資源外,更有可以同步或非同步進行的線上互動教學。但這種線上互動教學的成功並不是有了線上教學系統就可以自然成功的,教師一定要知道自己的新角色與新職責,並擅用線上教學工作的技巧,才能發揮網路教學這項媒體的專長,有效實現教學的目標。 本文首先探討線上教學的發展源流,並指出網路連線在教學上可以運用的類型;接著進一步探討線上教師在這一波網路教學潮流下的新角色及其應擔負的職責,再從線上教學的流程規劃來歸納線上教學帶領的工作項目、工作技巧、及可能面對的問題,最後指出未來應努力的研究方向,讓線上教學能真正成為一個提昇教學成效的工具,而不只是下一波消失的網路泡沫而已! |
英文摘要 | The media used in open and distance learning contexts have evolved into its third generation, which is characterized with the adoption of computer networks. Traditional universities, as well as open and distance universities, are enthusiastically engaged in the implementation of online instruction. In addition to accessing instructional material and resources on the web, the most exciting attribute of online instruction is taking the synchronous and/or the asynchronous interactive instruction. However, the adoption of online interaction is not a guarantee of assured teaching quality. The teachers have to know their roles and responsibilities of being online instructors. They also need to familiarize themselves with online tutoring skills in order to reap the merits of online instruction and fulfill instructional goals. In this paper the author first briefly introduced the evolution of online instuction, and summarized different teaching strategies of implementing online instruction. Then, the author continually discussed the instructors' roles and responsibilities which they will face in this new wave of online instruction. The tasks and problems of leading online interaction were also discussed based on the stages of instructional flow. At the last part, the author proposed several urgent issues for future research. If we cannot make online interaction an effective tool, online instruction is doomed to another collapsed Internet bubble! |
