英文摘要 | Herein a generalized approach is presented for predicting the viscosity(η) of liquid hydrocarbons using only their normal boiling temperatures (Tb) as a single characterizing parameter. Pulished experimental data were used to determine the proposed model, In(η)=A+B(Tb/T), in which the two correlation parameters, A and B, were generalized by a polynomial expansion of the carbon number in normal alkanes. The model s o derived accurately gives the viscosity of a liquid hydrocarbon as a function of temperatures over a wige range of temperatures. By applying the concept of the effective carbon number, the model has been successfully extended to estimate the viscosity of other hydrocarbons including isomeric alkanes, alkanes and aromatics with acceptable reliability. The proposed approach is simple to use, requiring only the normal boiling points as input data. |
