中文摘要 | 本研究旨在瞭解影響成人學生參與進修的相關因素,研究問題包括:(一)成人學生參與進修的動機為何?(二)成人學生進修前的處境考量及因應策略;(三)支持成人進修的來源及方式為何? 本研究採用質性研究方法,以某技職校院的進修部成人學生為研究對象,根據性別、年齡及婚姻等標準,採立意取樣,選取十二位「25歲以上」的成人學生作為研究參與者,以深度訪談為主要的資料蒐集方法。 研究結果發現:(1)成人參與進修大都有多重動機,主要為職業進展;(2)成人進修前心理障礙大,躊躇猶疑;(3)進修時間點與其人生發展任務及責任有關;(4)由於民間企業不友善的職場環境,成人進修多採低調策略;(5)進修學校的選擇以地點的便利性為首要考量;(6)科系選擇以學用相輔為原則;(7)親友或公司的支持為進修的重要資源,最後根據研究結果提出建議。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to explore the impact factors of adult student in participating learning at higher technological and vocational education. The research questions included: 1). What were the motivations and self of adult students before attending the continuing education program? 2). What were the external factors that affected the adult students before attending school? 3) What were the supportive resources affected the adult students to participate learning? The qualitative method of semi-structure in-depth interview was used for this research. The participants of this research were based on the specific institute of technology students. Twelve students aged above 25 years old, according to their age, gender and marital status were chosen for this purposive sampling study. The results of this research are as followed: 1. Adult students participating in learning always have multi-reasons; the most important one is for professional advancement. 2. Before attending school, the adult students have dispositional barriers and negative self-perceptions. 3. The timing for adult students to participate learning is related to their life stage and responsibilities. 4. Unfriendly working environment impacts their learning. 5. School location is the most import factor for their considering. 6. Their studying subjects are related to their working experiences. 7. The supports of families, friends or agents are important for the adult students. |
