中文摘要 | 強大的地震,其對結構物具有極大的破壞性,往往造成人類生命及財物極大的損傷。傳統耐震設計所設計之結構物於中小度地震時以勁度抵抗地震力,於大地震作用下以結構物之韌性吸收地震能量,是一種硬碰硬的防堵方法;由幾次大地震造成結構物的損毀與倒塌,可知傳統的耐震設計無法確保結構物在強震下的安全性;本文主要是介紹目前已發展出來用以提昇結構物防震能力的方法,這些方法包括:(一) 消能:將進入結構物的地震能量導引到附加元件上,降低地震能量進入結構物的主體構件。(二) 隔震:在地表面與結構物問配置附加元件,用以隔離大部分地震能量進入結構物。(三) 減振:利用附加元件的慣性,降低結構物因為地震所引起的擺動幅度。以上均屬於預防性的措施,統稱為防震科技。 |
英文摘要 | Earthquakes are a natural and unavoidable phenomenon on earth. A number of significant earthquakes occur each year; some are very strong (magnitudes of 6 to 8 on the Richter scale). These can cause damage not only to the buildings and bridges, but also to human beings in the form of deaths and property loss. In traditional building design, the stiffness of the structure is utilized to resist the force of the earthquake. Due to the damages and collapses the past earthquakes caused to building, we can infer that the traditional building design does not meet the buildings safety code for strong earthquakes. The purpose of this paper is to introduce present technologies that have been developed to enhance structure resistance to earthquakes. Present technologies include: (1) Energy Dissipation: Conduct the earthquake energy onto supplementary to reduce the energy effect on the main structure. (2) Base Isolation: Set supplementary between ground and base of the structure to cut off most energy from the earthquake into the structure. (3) Vibration Mitigation: Utilize the inertia of the supplementary to reduce the oscillating range of the structure. All the above methods are part of precautionary measures, which is generally called technology of earthquake prevention. |
