英文摘要 | A new automatic generalization method for road network maps is applied in this article. The original road network data from the topographic map is in scale 1:25, 000 and the compilation scale is 1:250,000. The factors of generalization are considered including thematic attributes, selected length, and the characteristics of road spanning. This method is conducted to detect the connection between the nodes based on the topological structure of the rod networks. The result is compared with that the manual compilations process. The results area very similar and the method is approved that can be applied in map compilation. |
