英文摘要 | Samples of 133 were drawn to a district teaching hospital in Taiwan. This study aims to validate the relationship between intellectual capitals and hospital performance. The results of multiple regression analysis reveals as follows. First, there exists significant relationship among five capitals, including human, process, innovation, marketing, and relationship, and four hospital performances measured by patients, finance, employees, and both effectiveness and efficiency. Second, the influence of five intellectual capitals on hospital performance is significantly strong. Finally, three of the five intellectual capitals, in terms of marketing, innovation, and relationship capitals, significantly affect hospital performance. The contribution of this research is that it bridges the research gap in the relationship between intellectual capital and hospital performance which can lay a solid foundation for future academic research. The suggestions are also proposed as to performance improvement for both managers and hospitals. |
