英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to treat the ethylene glycol wastewater by using rotating biological contactors (RBC). With different COD concentrations of wastewater, we use a continuous three stages process at proper pH value, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and hydraulic loading of 0.031 m��/m�插Dday. As a result, treating ethylene glycol wastewater at various COD concentrations from 1000 mg/L to 2400 mg/L, we use substrate concentrations from 130 mg/L to 1077 mg/L, outside biological films on the disks, and modified kinetic equation, r=kS��, in order to calculate the order of biochemical reaction and find that those values in each stage of RBC are 0.05, 0.12 and 0.28. Furthermore, we compare the COD/BOD, ratios of wastewater which contains ethylene glycol or mixed glucose/starch and discover that those ratios have some relationship to the COD removal (%) which has a tendency to increase or decrease stage by stage but have a rare influence on total COD removal (%). |
