英文摘要 | This paper stands in readers' position, uses Wolfgang Iser's Reception Theory to analyzing the “Negativity” when we read “A Biography of Huo Xiao-yu”, and interprets the meanings of this novel. Readers find out the difference between the text and the fact in Tang Dynasty when they read, and adjust the subjective expectation for love story in good time. “Blank” and “Negation” arouse readers' imagination, and make them to ask questions and find out answers at the same time, for the “Deformation” in Li Yi's and Huo Xiao-yu's actions and characters, and promote the concrete meanings. Therefore, Li Yi's ungrateful, Huo Xiao-yu's inflexible for love, and not perfect ending all become the plot than readers have to connect by themselves. The actuality like the family status, the bookman's debauching fashions, and attacking political opponents by writing novels, are all the origin of “Negativity”. They are pointed to by readers' “The First Negation”, and are carried out by “The Second Negation”. An lively artistic production is build of the text through reading. At this moment, readers' feelings like doubts, anger, fear, and sympathy will change into respectful or admiring pleasure, and then evolve into the deep and “Sublime” vibrations. |
