中文摘要 | 由於測驗大多為研究者執行評量所用,教學則針對教師及學生,因此,測驗及教學一直以來皆被視為不同的過程。本研究旨在整合聲韻覺識測驗及教學,並針對臺灣二所公立小學63名英語初學者進行實驗。整合過程中首先採用聲韻覺識測驗進行前測。聲韻覺識測驗包含五大部份,例如押韻、聽力字彙覺識、音節覺識、首尾音覺識及音素覺識,以檢測以英文為第二外語的初學者學習聲韻覺識之優劣勢。根據前測結果,進一步設計及實施為期18週的聲韻覺識課程。聲韻覺識課程後,再對此63名學童進行後測,檢測其學習成效。透過前後測成績的比較以評量這些學童的進步情形。根據t檢定數值(t=2.73)顯示63名學童聲韻覺識的能力有顯著的進步(p<0.01)。最後,本研究亦詳細描述聲韻覺識測驗及課程教案內容。 |
英文摘要 | Assessment and instruction have been considered detached processes since assessment is commonly for measurement researchers and instruction for teachers and students. The purpose of this study is to attempt to investigate the integration of phonological awareness assessment and instruction for 63 third graders who are beginning to learn English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in two public elementary schools in Taiwan. The integration procedure started with the adoption of phonological awareness assessment (Form A) as a pretest. Five sections, such as rhyming, spoken word awareness, syllable awareness, onset and rime awareness, and phonemic awareness, were included in the assessment to identify the learning strengths and weaknesses in phonological awareness of these EFL beginners. Following the pretest, an 18-week phonological awareness instruction program was designed and conducted based on the results of the pretest. After the phonological awareness instruction, the 63 third graders' achievement was examined using a posttest (Form B). Their progress in phonological awareness was evaluated by comparing their performance in the pretest and posttest. The value of the t-Test (t=2.73) shows that their progress in phonological awareness instruction was significant as p<0.01. Detailed information regarding the phonological awareness assessment and the lesson plans for instruction are also provided in this paper. |
