英文摘要 | Englightened education and health promotion share the same purpose and serve the same functions. Englightened education aims at developing the enlightened characters that exist in people in order to enable them to enjoy a calm and peaceful mind. Health promotion aims at promoting peaceful mind. Health promotion aims at promoting people's health both physically and mentally. Enlightened education is based on Buddhism. Health promotion is based on natural sciences and social sciences, both of which are parts of the traditional and modern scientific approaches. In spite of this, the proposal of enlightened education on meditating, observing the precepts, and being a vegetarian is well-documented in promoting health. This evidence indicates that health promotion, employing the scientifc approaches, provides one more explanation for the functions of enlightened education. |
