中文摘要 | 在政府與相關民間組織的推動下,企業連上網際網路似乎成為一種趨勢或時尚;然而實徵研究結果顯示,部分企業的態度依然保守,已採用者中亦有部分仍屬小規模的試驗。為理解上述現象,我們從新興科技的互為相關性特質入手,探討企業在創新過程中的組織學習行為及結果對其採用創新的影響。新興資訊科技的快速進展往往有賴產業內的技術廠商和客戶來彼此競爭或合作推動,並經過持續地整合成為系統化技術,才得以提升組織運用技術的整體績效;在這個情境下,組織的創新採用決策必須協調過去、目前與未來的技術採用策略,以便持續學習、累積在不同時點問世且互為相關的技術知識。植基在上述觀點的一個推測是:組織自外界頻繁吸收的創新資訊,若能有效在內部傳播,並且由具備累積相關技術知識的多元化技術人才來探索、應用及發現創新的用途與價值,組織就比較可能採用並廣泛實施該項新興科技。一項以我國1000大企業為對象進行的問卷調查,結果大部分支持上述推論的成立;組織內部溝通影響企業早期採用網際網路的可能性;外界學習機會與技術累積,則影響網際網路的實施程度。 |
英文摘要 | Advocates of the Internet claim that they offer new ways of doing business that an innovative firm cannot afford to ignore. However, businesses have not adopted the Internet as widely and as rapidly as expected in the literature. Many firms still hesitate to adopt, or fail to implement the Internet successfully. To explain this paradoxical phenomenon, this study, stands on the concept of technological inter-relatedness, investigates the impacts of a firm’s organizational learning on it’s innovation outcomes regarding the Internet. In a context of rapid technical progress, knowledge of components' integration will be eventually developed to turn on the synthesis of different technologies. To reap the synergy of a systemic technology, a firm must coordinate and streamline it’s technological strategies from sometime past, such that an interrelated set of technologies introduced in industry at different times can be adopted, and new knowledge about these innovations can be learned and accumulated. Based on the above viewpoint, this study infers that: a firm is more likely to adopt and implement the Internet successfully, if it frequently absorb related knowledge from external sources, effectively disperse those knowledge via it’s internal communication mechanism, and can have employees with diverse technological experience and comprehensive related knowledge to exploit the innovative usage of those knowledge. An empirical study, using data on the adoption and implementation of the Internet from the top 1000 enterprises of Taiwan, moderately confirms our hypotheses. |
