中文摘要 | 護士與護生在醫院工作或工讀實習的時候都必須書寫護理記錄。雖然中英夾雜是學生們書寫護理記錄的現象,也是困擾老師們的問題,然而為了避免記錄書寫不清楚而導致溝通問題或引起法律糾紛,老師們規定學生們書寫護理記錄時要使用中文。但是在醫院實地工作時,學生們書寫護理記錄都是中英夾雜的。為了知道其真實狀況並更了解此臺灣特有的現象,本研究收集了139位長庚護專二專護生所書寫的護理記錄作質性與量性分析。結果發現大部分(90.6%)學生們在書寫護理記錄時的確是中英夾雜的。也有少部分護理記錄是以中文(3.6%)或英文(5.8%)書寫。本研究並對此中英夾雜的語言現象進行夾雜類別分析探討。並且根據研究結果提出老師與學生對此現象應有的態度。 |
英文摘要 | Most nurses have to read and write nurses' notes as part of their routine work at the hospitals. Accurate writing of nurses' notes is necessary for good quality care as well as prevention of lawsuits. In order to stay away from lawsuits or other problems resulting from misunderstanding of nurses' notes, nursing students are asked to document in a standard language. However, nursing students write nurses' notes in both English and Chinese (code switching) though they are asked to write nurses notes exclusively in either English or Chinese. In response to this conflicting situation, the current study investigated the languages 139 junior college nursing students used in the writing of nurses' notes. The researcher demonstrated three different coding strategies applied in writing nurses' notes: the Chinese Strategy, the Code Switching Strategy and the English Strategy. Statistics revealed that code switching is the dominant writing strategy (90.6%) in nurses' note writing in the case of the nursing college. The phenomenon was elaborated for a clearer picture for further studies. Consequences resulting from the phenomenon were discussed and suggestions conceming ESP (English for Specific Purposes) in the nursing profession were made for ESP teachers in the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) context in Taiwan. |
