英文摘要 | This study examined whether college students do physical trainings regularly, take exercises after PE classes, and take care of their health. The subjects were sampled from four colleges in northern Taiwan. The number of male students was six hundred and forty-five, the number of female students was eight hundred and forty-five, and the total was one thousand, four hundred and ninety-seven. Questionnaires were distributed on the spot and collected immediately after they were completed. The effective returing rate was 96.39%. Contents included changes of the settings, exercise habits, and self-evaluation of health. Data were analyzed statistically. One of the findings revealed that the frequency of working out every week was one to two days (52.2%), and most students spent more than thirty minutes on exercising (45.7%). When spending the same amount of time doing exercises, more people tended to finish their exercises at once while fewer people broke their exercise time into several sessions. Most students reached medium-high and moderate intensities, and the numbers of students were 603 (40.3%) and 567 (37.9%) respectively. Regarding self- evaluation of their health, as much as 88.8% students believed that they were healthy, compared with their counterparts of the same age and gender while only 22.4% considered themselves worse than their counterparts of the same age. Besides, more than 52.0% students did not consider themselves in need of doctors' help or suggestions. Based on the results of this survey, this study found that most college students did not have regular exercise habits. But they would establish their exercise habits if the physical education course was provided once a week. In addition, they felt themselves in a healthy condition currently. Thus, by means of the school physical education, it could not only strengthen the students' regular habits in sports but also benefited compatriots' health. |
