英文摘要 | The purpose of this qualitative research was to construct the image of a twice-exceptional adolescent student (gifted junior high school student with the Asperger syndrome.). By interviewing him and his significant others, I tried to unfold the image of the twice-exceptional student. There were some findings from the study of the twice-exceptional student with hidden disability. 1. In significant others' view, he was a paradox. In the one hand, he was a person with unstable academic performance, social isolation, talkative in his interesting subject. On the other hand, he was a childish enthusiasm, an insistent expert at electronics and computer. 2. In the twice-exceptional student's view, he was not only a superman at computer, electronics and electrical technology, but also a lonesome robot in his peer relationship. He also described himself as a man with high IQ and low EQ. 3. It would be limited to categorize the image of twice-exceptional students by bisection. 4. The image was closely related to environmental and personal factors. People tended to overlook the special needs of gifted students with hidden disability. |
