中文摘要 | 辨識是人類視覺系統中的重要特性之一,本研究藉由線畫脴形探討五官的位置、五官的大小與眼精狀對於辨識性的影響,以Biederman識別理論中的特徵(Characteristics)論,及Kosslyn的吉昂(Geons)識別理論為研究主軸,用三種不同比例的方塊遮蔽物,對無性別之臉形圖像做「黑色遮蔽」和「白色遮蔽」兩階段的實驗,用頻次分析法、卡方分析法及共數分析計算實驗結果,並根據實驗結果與文獻的理論,進行「圖像輪廓」(contour)與「圖像特徵」在不同比例遮蔽下及不同色彩(黑白)遮蔽下,對圖像辨識所產生的差異探討。研究結果顯示黑色遮蔽物之下的圖像辨識性,較白色遮蔽物之下的圖像辨識性高,封閉性(Closure)原則是圖辨識的重要線索,被遮蔽的圖像亦可藉由受試者的視知覺進行編碼,進而建立辨識法則。 |
英文摘要 | Pattern recognition is an important feature of human visual systems. In this study, the line shapes of human faces are studied. The characteristic principle in Biederman’s recognition theory together with the Geons recognition theory of Koslyn is utilized. In this paper, black and white rectangular overlaps with three different ratios are used in the experiments. The results are checked using Frequencies analyses, Ki-square analyses and Variation analyses. The effects of contour characteristics are discussed. Experimental results show that the face contours under black overlaps are easier to identify than under white covers. The closure is an important information in pattern recognition. The test users can reconstruct the object shapes and establish the recognition rules with the use of their visual perceptions. |
