英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to examine how swimming teaching affected participants' sport confidence (SC) and physical self-efficacy (PSE) after 5 weeks swimming teaching. A total of 218 respondents who were freshmen at National Penghu Institute of Technology completed the pre-tests and post-tests and were utilized for the data analysis. A description statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA were conducted to test the SC and PSE scores. The results were as following: 1. The results showed that there was a statistically significant mean difference of SC between male and female students. The male participants had higher SC than female participants before swimming course. After analysis of one-way ANOVA, the results indicate that there was a statistically significant mean difference among different groups of exercise frequency. Post-hoc tests on the mean difference of SC among 4 groups also revealed differences. 2. The results showed that there was a statistically significant mean difference of PSE between male and female participants (t=1.991, P<.05). The male students had higher PSE mean scores than female students. The results indicated that there was no significant difference of PSE (t=-5.972, P>.05) between participants before swimming teaching. Results also indicated that there was no statistically significant difference among the means of the post-test PSE (F= 3.369, P>.05) scores for different groups of swimming ability. |
