中文摘要 | 近年來臺灣地區老年人口數增加,造成長期照護機構及照護人力的需求增加,其 特性均應事前評估與瞭解,以作為管理機構之參考。本研究針對臺中、彰化地區 51 家長期 照護機構,調查機構之區域分佈、占床率、負責人背景、院民所接受之技術性護理措施,並 瞭解護理人員及護佐一般屬性。研究結果顯示未立案機構占 47 家 (92.2%),大部份分散各 鄉鎮社區,占床率 64.0%,負責人以護佐 (看護 ) 居多, 院民所接受之技術性護理措施以 鼻胃管灌食為最多。照護人力方面, 以護佐為主,占護理照護人力 76.9%,護士平均 32 歲 ,護佐 40 歲,而在未立案機構有將近 1/2(46.8%) 缺護理人員, 此結果可提供衛生主管機 關瞭解臺灣地區長期照護機構現況,積極輔導未立案機構是迫切需要的問題。 |
英文摘要 | Following the increase in elderly population over the past decades in Taiwan, the need for long-term care facilities and medical personnel is also increased. The objective of this study is to investigate 51 licensed and unlicensed long-term care facilities in centeral Taiwan in order to better understand the regional distribution of facilities, their occupancy rates and the characteristics and duties of those personnel offering services. Results are as follows:forty-seven facilities (92.2%) are unlicensed and located in the rural areas. The bed occupancy rate is 64.0%.Most administrators are nursing assistants who comprised 76.9% of the manpower in LTC. The most frequently provided skilled nursing services for elderly is NG-feeding. In unlicensed facilities, the lack of nurses is near half (46.8%). The average age of nurses and nursing assistants are 32 and 40, respectively. We recommend Taiwan Department of Health to provide assistance to all unlicensed facilities in order to make improvement in administration, equipment, training programs and medical care, so that they will become qualified to be licensed. A long-term plans to meet the demands of the future elderly population. |
