中文摘要 | 國中生因中輟所衍生的問題是當今教育亟需重視的課題。目前普遍存在的一個共識是:引起中輟的原因相當複雜,而協助中輟生復學更有賴家庭、學校與社區的合作。本研究以花蓮縣某一國中資源式中途班學生為對象,利用行動研究探討結合社區資源規劃選替教育,以增進中輟復學生的學校適應之成效。本研究自2003年10月起開始實施,至2004年03月止,總計11名中輟復學與7名瀕臨中輟學生,共計18人參與。研究發現:(1)整合學校的選替課程、大專院校師生帶領的團體輔導和個案認輔、以及社區服務中心提供的家庭訪視和假日輔導活動等社區資源,可以補足學校輔導人力的不足;(2)多元化的輔導活動不僅增進中輟復學生的學習興趣、減少曠缺課現象,同時也成為中輟生的復學動力。但是由於多數中輟復學生的識讀能力不足、學校選替課程無法因應個別差異,致使基本能力的提升和整體學習表現未臻理想。本研究最後指出,以學校為中心整合社區資源的輔導機制中,學校輔導人員扮演催化與統整機制,能夠緊密連結家長、學校教師、社區志願服務人員,因而建議:學校輔導人員應進一步透過專業對話與個案研討、以及系統化追蹤並評估中輟復學生的表現,才能真正發揮輔導中輟復學生的功能。 |
英文摘要 | The problems associated with the school dropouts have long been among the most serious issues in contemporary Taiwan. It has been a consensus that students running away from school were by and large affected by multiple factors such that successful assistance should rely on the school, family, and community at the same time. With the expectation to empower dropouts, this study adopted an action study in a junior high school, in Hualien, to probe the potential effects of alternative education programs designed to integrate resources accessible to the community. The study was conducted between October of 2003 and March of 2004, with eleven returned dropouts and seven at-risk students participating in the program. The findings are as follows: 1) manpower in-school counseling has been effectively complemented by the integration of alternative programs conducted in the school, group and individual counseling have been enhanced by collegiate students in the neighborhood, and household visits and holiday services provided by the community service center; 2) The multi-faceted programs have promoted students' motivation of learning to significantly reduce the absentee rate and become an essential push-back dynamic. However, efforts to promote their basic abilities and overall learning performance were not successful, mainly because alternative programs failed to accommodate individual differences, and illiteracy among the dropouts was not easy to overcome. The author found that, by centralizing the school to combine the community's resources, school counselors played a key role in facilitating and integrating parents, teachers, and community service force. It was thus recommended that the goal and function of alternative programs could be actualized and accomplished by application of professional dialogues, case discussions, and periodic follow-up, as well as evaluation of dropout students' performance. |
