英文摘要 | The thermal degradation of polyacrylamide has been studied by using thermogravimetry. The experiments were carried out over the temperature range 100-900 at four heating rates of 5, 10, 20 and 40. Clmin and in a nitrogen atmosphere. The results indicated that the entire degradation process of polyacrylamide under the experimental conditions of this investigation consists of two distinctive pyrolysis stages. Two methods of thermogravimetric analysis were used. The reaction order, the activation energy and the preexponential factor were evaluated from common thermogravimetric and differential thermogravimetric curves experimentally obtained. The reaction was found under this experimental condition to be of first order with activation energy of 32.8 kcallmole in the first degradation stage and first order with activation energy of 45.6 kcallmole in the second degradation stage, respectively.
