中文摘要 | 筆者在益家村的田野調查,收集到和惠東地區夫人媽信仰極為相似的益家媽信仰 , 經整理分析後,發現這種以早夭親人為主要祭拜的信仰,有下列幾點特徵: 1. 益家媽的 信仰和中國的祖先崇拜有關連,這些神靈不僅可以直系親屬間的代代相傳,也可以同代旁系 堂兄弟等親屬, 甚至不同代伯侄等親屬之間的分割祭拜; 2. 益家媽的祭拜並不是女性的專 利; 3. 益家媽的祭拜可以超越家戶、家族,而成為社區內、外其他家庭祭拜的神壇; 4. 益 家媽的靈媒, 當地稱「上身的」,和益家媽祭拜的產生,有極密切的關係; 5. 本地益家媽 的信仰在改革開放,鄉鎮企業日益發展後,有濃厚的功利取向。 |
英文摘要 | In Yih-Chia Village we find a so-called worship of "Yeg Ke Mah" (family benefacting-goddess). The characteristics of this worship can be outlined as follows: (1) The worship of "Yeg Ke Mah" is related to Chinese ancestor worship. Succession to these deities can take place not only between two lineal generations (such as between fathers and sons), but can also take place between relatives within the same generation (such as between cousins) or even between two different generations where the parties are not lineally related (such as between uncles and nephews). (2) "Yeg Ke Mah" are not solely worshipped by females. (3) "Yeg Ke Mah" can be worshipped at private household at the (extended) family level as well as at the public community-wide level at the altars of shamans. (4) Shamans play a very important role in "Yeg Ke Mah" worship. (5) The worship of Yeg Ke Mah is very pragmatically-oriented toward material prosperity, and especially so during the economic expansion since 1979. |
