英文摘要 | A multi-aquifer well is composed of more than one aquifer. Each aquifer has its own water constituent and potential (water head). Taking water sample from a multi-aquifer well will be influenced by the potential in each aquifer, seasonal water level fluctuations, variation of well discharge, and the well screen arrangement. There are two patterns of water flow in a two-aquifer well, and six patterns in a three-aquifer well and so on. Each pattern of water flow has different water quality in sampling. Due to the complexity of water flow in multi-aquifer wells, multi-aquifer wells are not recommended to use as a monitoring well, especially for detecting ground water pollution from the surface. |
