英文摘要 | This paper presents students’ opinions towards a drama activity administered according to the procedures (See Appendix 1) that demand students of high degree of involvement in many aspects. A total of 329 students of six conversation classes from different majors of a university participated in the activity. Different points of view regarding the strengths of the activity have been mentioned. Among the 18 opinion-categories drawn from subjects’ main comments, the top five in ranking are: (1) Opportunities have been produced to cooperate with classmates and to know classmates better; (2) English class has become more lively, vivid and interesting; (3) More opportunities have been produced in English-speaking and English-listening; (4) Overall English ability is enhanced; and (5) English learning is speeded. The study concludes with the main findings of the subjects’ opinions towards the activity for inclusion into profounder designing of related research in the future. Some of the subjects' valuable suggestions are summarized and presented for consideration of future inclusion in drama activities in similar EFL teaching/learning contexts. |
