中文摘要 | 本研究介紹英文課程預備週(New Student Orientation Program)之實施情況。 此課程 (NSOP) 乃針對文藻外語專校一年級新生而設計。開學後為期二週之課程旨在幫助新生適應新的學習環境與不同的教學法,並減低其學習壓力與焦慮。透過聽、說、讀、寫等不同課程老師提供學生不同以往 (國中) 的語言學習方式。 為了解學生對預備週課程之反應,在預備週的一個月後,以問卷調查方式了解所設計之課程是否有助於學生適應新的學習環境與教學方式。結果顯示學生對準備週之認同度高。建議:當學習新的語文課程時,各語文系科應實施類似之準備課程給予學適應期,以提升學習效果。 |
英文摘要 | This paper introduces the orientation program for the new students (1-year students of a 5-year junior college in Taiwan)who had been admitted to a foreign languages college where all the English courses were taught in English. The New Student Orientation Program (NSOP)was intended to reduce students' learning anxiety in facing a new learning environment and new teaching methods. Learning strategies in the four skills of listening. speaking, reading and writing were offered to students in the NSOP which covered the first two weeks of the new semester. A questionnaire was administered a month after the NSOP to all the participants in order to find out their responses toward the rientation program. The responses were positive, It is suggested that a similar kind of orientation program be implemented for students who are learning a foreign language in a completely new environment. |
