中文摘要 | 背景:為了瞭解血管黏連分子在鼻及鼻竇黏膜血管細胞上之表現, 我們選擇細胞 間黏連分子 -1 ( intercellular adhesion molecule-1, ICAM-1 ), 內皮白血球黏連分 子 -1 ( endothelial leukocyte molecule-1, ELAM-1 )及血管細胞黏連分子 -1 ( vascular cell adhesion molecule-1, VCAM-1 )等三種最常表現在血管內皮細胞上的黏連 分子來研究。 方法:我們利用單株抗體做免疫組織化學染色來研究 6 名正常者、15 名非過敏化鼻炎者、 8 名整年性過敏者之下鼻甲黏膜;4 名正常者、12 名慢性鼻竇炎者的上頷竇黏膜及 8 名病 人的鼻息肉。 結果:發現結果 ELAM-1 及 VCAM-1 於正常黏膜上的表現率及強度都很低,但是 VCAM-1 雖 在疾病黏膜上的表現與 ELAM-1 同樣不高,但強度稍強。 ICAM-1 在正常黏膜上即普遍存在且除了非過敏性鼻炎外, 在疾病黏膜上皆呈有意義的增加 ,雖各組間的差異不大。 結論:本研究結果顯示在嗜伊紅血球浸潤明顯的黏膜上如在鼻過敏症、鼻竇炎、鼻息肉等, 血管黏連分子,尤其是 ICAM-1,在嗜伊紅血球之浸潤機轉上確實扮演重要角色。 |
英文摘要 | Background: To understand the manifestation and significance of vascular endothelial adhesion molecules in the nasal and sinus mucosa in different inflammatory state, an immunohistochemical study of the mucosa of the nose and sinus was conducted about intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), endothelial leukocyte adhesion molecule-1 (ELAM-1), and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) which mostly appear on vascular endothelium. Methods: The mucosa taken from the inferior turbinates of normal subjects (n=6), and patients with nonallergic rhinitis (n=15), perennial allergic rhinitis (n=8), and chronic sinusitis (n=12), and mucosa from the maxillary sinus of normal subjects (n=4), and patients with chronic sinusitis (n=12) and polyps from chronic sinusits patients (n=8) were used for immunohis-tochemical staining of ICAM-1, ELAM-1 and VCAM-1. Results: ELAM-1 and VCAM-1 were observed in weak intensity and expression rate in normal mucosa, but VCAM-1 manifested with low level increased in diseased specimens. ICAM-1 was normally present and increased in most ideased mucosa. There was significant difference of ICAM-1 level between normal and diseased mucosa, but there was no difference among diseased groups. Conclusion: There results suggest that endothelial adhesion molecules are involved in mucosal inflammation and ICAM-1 may contribute to chronic inflammation cell infiltration. |
