英文摘要 | Various yeast strains, including Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candiad utilis, were screened to search for high producers of organoselenium. A strain of S. cerevisiae, strain TSL-1, was found to be able to accumulate up to 1150μg putative organoselenium per gram of dried cells within 24 hours in a medium containing 20μg/ml selenium in the form of sodium selenite. The measured final organoselenium content in suspension cultures increased with the quantity of inorganic selenium initially added to the cultures within 20μg/ml of selenium. The accumulation of selenium in yeast mainly occurred during the exponentially growing phase and significantly slowed down or totally stopped after entering the stationary phase in suspension cultures. |
