英文摘要 | ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) was proposed by International Telecommunications Union (ITU) as the transport mechanism for B-ISDN. ATM is a connection-oriented service and supports the concepts of QoS. Therefore, there must exist some mechanisms, called Call Admission Control (CAC), to determine whether the system resource is enough for accepting new calls. Before a user starts transmitting overran ATM network, a call that satisfies the QoS requirements has to be established. Recently, a lot of CAC schemes have been proposed for ATM networks. In this paper, we survey the features of these methods and discuss their advantages and disadvantages. |
