英文摘要 | 本研究探討枯西錐蟲(Trypanosoma cruzi)在溫帶臭蟲(Cimex lectularius) 體內之繁殖與轉型,並與其在原病媒宿主體內比較。實驗所使用之寄生蟲為一低毒力品系的 枯西錐蟲,對照組的半翅目昆蟲包括錐椿(Rhodnius prolixus)及騷擾錐椿(Triatoma infestans)等兩種病媒錐鼻蟲,雙翅目昆蟲包括東鄉斑蚊(Aedes togoi)。 吸血後每隔7天的間隔,計算在昆蟲消化管內所有錐蟲的數目。結果顯示感染早期枯西錐蟲 的繁殖以在溫帶臭蟲體內為最好,吸血後7天即已開始大量繁殖,14天達最高峰。在42天後 或染總蟲數降低時,由側鞭毛型蟲體轉型為錐鞭毛型蟲體的轉型比例反而增高。枯西錐蟲在 騷擾錐椿及錐椿兩種錐鼻蟲體內之發育型類似,惟無鞭毛型蟲體較少,而在東鄉斑蚊體內, 吸血後7天即無任何鞭毛蟲存在。本研究結果顯示溫帶臭蟲在公共衛生上比作為原病媒宿主 的兩種錐鼻蟲更具威脅性。 course of the experiment. Transmission to mouse was achieved by intraperitoneal injection of gut contents from cimicid bugs 14 dyas after infection. An increase in the proportion of metacyclic trypomastigotes was noticed in the cimicid bugs 42 days after the intake of blood meal when the total unmber of parasites dropped. No similar noticeable increase in the proportion of metacyclic trypomastigotes was observed in the reduviid bugs. Feeding experiment ascertained that mosquitoes were not susceptible. Development of the parasite in T. infestans was similar to that in R. prolixus bugs, with fewer amastigotes observed. The results indicate a higher probability of transmission of the parasite to the vertebrate host by the cimicid bugs than by its vector reduviid bugs. |
