英文摘要 | A series of derivatives of phenylacetic acid and amino acids were prepared and tested against HL-60 cells for their differentiation and antiproliferation activities. Most of the amino acid derivatives were more potent than phenylacetic acid (PAA) in inducing cell differentiation. Among them, N-phenylacetyl L-phenylalanine (22) was the most potent, whereas N-phenylacetyl L-isoleucine (19) and N-phenylacetyl L-tryptophan (23) synergistically potentiated with retinoic acid to induce cell differentiation. On the other hand, N-phenylacetyl L-valine (17), N-phenylacetyl L-leucine (18) and 23 not only induced differentiation, but also promoted cell proliferation. Our results indicate that these compounds are effective cell differentiation agents with low toxicity. |
