英文摘要 | Nanocomposite is defined as such a composite with the particle size of disperse phase is less than 100nm at least in one dimension. Because of the nanometer size effect, huge specific areas and strong interaction between the disperse phase and the polymer matrix, the nanocomposite possess unique properties than conventional composite counterparts in mechanical properties and barrier properties. A series of polymer/clay nanocomposites (PCN) with montmorillonite as the inorganic dispersed phase via intercalation polymerization and blending interaction have been successfully prepared by State Key Laboratory of Engineering Plastics (SKLEP), Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing. So far Nylon 6, polyester (PET, PBT), and ultra high molecular weigh polymer (UHMWPE)/clay nanocomposites have been developed and promoted to use in areas of electronics, transportation, construction, and consumer products. |
