中文摘要 | 一般而論,宗教現象學係以現象學來研究宗教。職是之故,宗教現象學乃是現象學運動的一部分。然而,從人類的經驗觀之,觀察、蒐集、探討宗教現象宛如宗教般古老。是以,討論宗教現象學的問題,勢必從其基本的面向著手,才能免陷於片面的獨斷立場。 本文首先描述胡塞爾(Edmund Husserl, 1859-1938)現象學方法的主要因素和結構,並探究胡氏平常很少提及的主題:宗教觀。雖然胡塞爾和奧托(Rudolf Otto, 1869-1937)均強調宗教的「自成一格」(sui generis),但胡氏以非神的哲學態度來看宗教;而奧氏卻認為宗教現象惟有對信徒才有其真義。由此可見,兩者對宗教的「本質」顯然見解不同。 其次,我們探討脈絡中的宗教現象,以舒茲(A. Schutz)、柏格(P. L. Berger)以及盧克曼(T. Luckmann)作為人類學和社會學的代表。 最後,我們重建宗教現象學的「本質」和「脈絡」的基礎性,它們不僅不能分開或者對立,而且是互補、互動的。這樣的宗教現象學方能成為宗教交談的基礎:既有深度(本質)又有廣度,亦即蘊含對「圈內」(insider)和「圈外」(outsider) 的了解。 |
英文摘要 | Phenomenology of Religion is a very complex theme, often misunderstood, therefore we need to treat it carefully and basically, before we can hope to integrate its perspectives. We begin with the expose of Husserl’s phenomenological method that can serve then for approaching both essential understanding of religion and contextual view of religion. E. Husserl and R. Otto are represented for essential understanding of religion. While E. Husserl considers his approach to religion “atheistic”, R. Otto on the contrary, requires “belief” as fundamental condition to understand the essential meaning of religious phenomena. Phenomenology of Religion in context underscores also the characteristic of religion “sui generis”. P. L. Berger, T. Luckmann are considered as its representants. They analyze a plausible structure of religion, and show its legitimating functioned, especially they argue that religion does play an important role in the society of today, regardless to its secularization or desecularization. Although essential and contextual views of religious understanding are in fragmentary so different, but in reconstruction we show that they are unrepeated views of phenomenology of religion and can serve as a plausible structure for inter-religious dialogue. |
