英文摘要 | Children's classification of television programs in terms of genre has been depicted as a significant aspect of child development. Perceived reality, in particular, has been hypothesized as an important mediator of the effects of television. The present research, employing the group discussion with 2nd, 4th, and 6th graders, designed to investigate the constructs children employ in describing and differentiating television programs and reality judgements. Our research showed that children used multidimensional criteria to tell the reasons for similarity and dissimilarity among different television programs. As to the reality judgements, the research showed the relationship between children's perception of television reality and their stage of cognitive development. |
