英文摘要 | Adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN) is a phenotype of X-linked adrenoleukodystorophy. It involves mainly the spinal cord and the peripheral nerves. Clinical manifestations usually begin in the adulthood and are slowly progressive over a period of decadws. We assessed the central and peripheral conduction of two AMN patients with evoked potentials and nerve conduction studies. Prolonged interpeak latencies of N9-N19 were noted in studies of somatosensory evoked potentials. In the study of brainstem auditory evoked potentials, there were no detectable wave V, inconsistent wave III and prolonged interpeak latencies of I-III. Abnormal nerve conduction studies were noted in these two patients with the main findings of prolonged F wave latencies. Our studies confirmed that AMN could involve the brainstem, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system. |
