英文摘要 | The quality of raw sugar is closely related to the efficiency of refining process. It is therefore essential to improve the affination process to reduce the work in clarification and decolorization in refining process. A series of tests were conducted at the affination station. During these tests, the brix and temperature of magma, and the washing conditions such as temperature, pressure and time, were kept constant. The results of color and ash removal efficiency under different feeding time of magma and different washing speed were compared one another. In addition, the optimum top speed duration for obtaining best purging efficiency was investigated. Results showed that the efficiency of affination process can be substantially improved by modifying the purging work. The quality of raw sugar is a key factor for the efficiency of affination, clarification, decolorization and filtration operations in the refining process of white sugar. Although properties such as high pol., low color index, few impurities, big and homogeneous crystal are important for the raw sugar, the qualities of both domestic and imported raw sugar are difficult to control @. This fact enables the improvement of affination operation and increase of refining efficiency even more crucial. The main unit of a standard affination process (Fig. 1) includes a conveyor, a mingler, an affination syrup recirculation system, a mixer, and some centrifugals. In the Peikang Refinery (Fig. 2), although the operation parameters, such as the temperature of affination syrup, the brix and temperature of magma used for years, the refining efficiency of the Peikang Refinery is yet to be improved. |
