中文摘要 | 本研究之目的在研製用於光纖製作之聚光性高分子。烯丙基二甘醇碳酸酯(Allyl diglycol carbonate; ADC)單體為製作此聚光性共聚高分子之主要成份。因ADC為質軟之物質,若與甲基丙 烯酸甲酯(Methyl methacrylate; MMA)共聚合後,可改善傳統僅含MMA質脆之光纖,而且更具易 加工性。ADC與MMA之共聚物經過熱分析、黏度量測、FTIR光譜分析、干涉儀析射率量測與硬 度測試,以瞭解其化學、物理與光學特性。由結果顯示,加入ADC後之共聚物的硬度已明顯地降 低,且仍保有透明度佳與穿透性佳之特性。當保持ADC/MMA成份於50/50與70/30比之間之聚光 性共聚高分子適合於製作可撓性光纖。 |
英文摘要 | A light-focusing polymeric material for fiber optic has been studied in this paper. Allyl diglycol carbonate (ADC) monomer is the main component to manufacture a copolymer suitable for the light waveguide. Since ADC is too soft to be processed, methyl methacrylate (MMA) was added to increase the hardness in order to have better processibility of optical fibers. The characterizations of copolymetrs of ADC and MMA were studied by thermal analyses, viscosity measurements, FTIR spectra analyses, interference microscopy measurements and hardness tests to predict and observe chemical, physical and optical properties. The results have shown that the addition of MMA improves the hardness of copolymer without losing its transparency and transmittance. This makes the fabrication of flexible optical fibers possible as the appropriate weight ratio of ADC/MMA kept between 50/50 to 70/30. |
