英文摘要 | Medulloblastoma is the most common brain tumor of the posterior fossa in children. The range of reported 5-year survival rates is 50-70%. The objective of Tthis study was done to identify which prognostic factors may determine the effectiveness of treatment. Medical records of 22 pathologically confirmed patients were reviewed to and collect useful information was collected.and The Cox proportional hazard model was applied to assess the potential prognostic factors. The final Cox proportional hazards model reveal that older children older than 6 years had much higher survival advantagethe best prognoses (hazard ratio, 0.013) as compared to with the children younger than 6 years or younger. The patients with positive metastasis stages at diagnosis had had greatest disadvantageworst prognosis of survival (hazard ratio, 97.6). The patients with desmoplastic variant of pathology also had poor results prognosis of survival (hazard ratio, 17.26) as compared to with the patients with the classical type of pathology. Other factors found towhich did not have a significant effects on survival were: sexgender, the extent of tumor resection, and the tumor stage at diagnosis. The results revealed that age at diagnosis, positive metastasis stage at diagnosis, and desmoplastic variant of pathology had significantly affected the rates of survival result. SexGender, the extent of tumor resection, and tumor stage at diagnosis did not affect the outcome of survival. |
