英文摘要 | This paper investigates several time-slot selection algorithms for portable access in a quasi-fixed frequency assignment TDMA cellular system. Performance measures, including call blocking rate, dropping rate, and low quality rate are obtained using BONeS simulation of a model 36-port system. A new concept of adaptive threshold is introduced to enhance the performance of these algorithms. The results show that system performance is insensitive to the selection of proposed algorithms if adaptive threshold with optimal value is used. Moreover, algorithms with adaptive threshold perform better than those with fixed threshold, especially under heavy traffic load. |
